Sitting in the sunshine enjoying the sights and sounds.
The brush pen I was using isn’t waterproof, so I will stick to coloured pencils
I was in Camp just before the storm hit. Hurrah to me for battening down the hatches.
I loved the way that everyone was looking in a different direction
Fantastic sound sculptures by Ray Lee. Everytime I walked by I was sucked into the field of tones.
The beautiful silk flags at Womad shimmer and flutter, changing colour with the light.
I am entranced by clouds this summer. The fields at Womad are wide and flat, and the sky is a blue dome overhead
Womad was just fantastic this year. It was HOT, the sky was blue filled with fluffy white clouds (except for when it was bruise purple with brief fierce rainstorms) and the music was world-class. I just loved the atmosphere and the way that people were constantly moving from one stage to another, some pausing to catch some sun, or some shade or some zzzzzeds, and always some band was playing, or finishing a set, whilst something else was happening just over there, let’s go see.
